MYCG President, Christie Gross, specializes in developing issues platforms and crafting public policy solutions for candidates seeking elective office. Her knowledge spans topics, including education, health care, economic development, the environment, aging and children’s issues, immigration, taxes and budgets, among others. She has over 10 years of experience advising political candidates and state governments.
Prior to starting My Campaign Group, Christie worked as a consultant for a public sector management consulting firm where she honed her research, problem-solving, leadership, and writing skills.
In this role, she served as a political consultant to more than 30 candidates and campaigns across the country over the past 7 years.
Some of her winning campaigns include: Governor Joe Manchin of West Virginia, Governor Bill Ritter of Colorado, and Governor Steve Beshear of Kentucky. She further helped develop policy for Governor John Lynch of New Hampshire along with other elected officials.
Christie also directed a number of projects, including a state demographic study to examine changing population trends and their impact on pubic resources, as well as developed a senior citizen financial toolkit containing advice and tips on how to maximize and preserve people’s finances as they age – a kit later co-produced by AARP. She also managed a Governor’s public policy office – the first of its kind to be outsourced to a private contractor, coordinating the development of multiple public policy initiatives prepared by her project team. In addition, she served as a team leader on 3 state government performance reviews in the states of New Mexico, West Virginia, and Colorado where she identified more than $100 million in total efficiency savings.
Most of all, her dedication and commitment to serving clients was done in a way that resulted in more than $1.5 million of repeat business - the most of any staff member at that time.
Christie is a two-time alumnus of the University of Delaware and holds a Master’s Degree in Public Administration and Bachelor’s Degrees in English and Political Science. She is a member of the American Association of Political Consultants and the National Honor Society for Public Affairs and Administration, Pi Alpha Alpha.
